Oracle Application Express (APEX) 24.2 is now available for new Autonomous Container Databases (ACD)
Oracle has announced the availability of Oracle Application Express (APEX) 24.2 for newly created Autonomous Container Databases (ACDs) on Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure and Exadata Cloud@Customer, effective June 18, 2025. This update brings the latest low-code development capabilities to newly provisioned ACDs, enabling developers to build and deploy modern, scalable applications faster and more efficiently. APEX 24.2 introduces UI enhancements, improved developer productivity features, and deeper integration across Oracle services.
Why This Matters
With APEX 24.2 now available for new ACDs, organizations gain access to the latest tools in Oracle’s low-code platform — ideal for building internal tools, dashboards, and full-fledged applications with minimal coding. This ensures that APEX developers working in dedicated and hybrid cloud environments can stay at the forefront of productivity and performance.
What’s New?
If you're launching new ACDs, you’ll now be able to use APEX 24.2 right out of the box. Whether you’re building modern internal apps or customer-facing web applications, this version of APEX offers the latest tools and UI improvements to help you innovate faster with less code.
🚀 Important Note: This release is only available for new ACDs. Existing ACD environments will continue running the APEX version they were provisioned with.
